Last night I had the best bowling night of my career.
I rolled a 221, 222, 167 for a 610 series; my first 600 sereies ever! I have been trying for this for over 2 years- ever since I learned what glory could come from a 600 series.
As I approached the 10th frame of the 3rd and final game, my loins trembled in anticipation and self-doubt. I only needed a strike to take the pressure off- I rolled a 9 and left a 7 pin- the most difficult pin for a lefty to pick up.
Second roll, I nailed it and screamed in ecstasy before rolling a strike to close out the game.
I expected all patrons and leaguers to bow in awe to my bowling prowess, alas this was not the case. No, my friend Ryan had to bowl a perfect 300 just to spite me!
My teammates were shallow in their congratulatory efforts. Maybe I shouldn't have won all 3 card games and taken their money.
Next week I'll probably go back to rolling a 400 series :)
